When you challenge yourself and give it all you’ve got, good things happen. That is the main message behind the bobsledding bronze medal won in the Winter Olympics by the Canadian duo Kaillie Humphries and Phylicia George. Adding to it is the fact that Phylicia George, who our own Dr. Kelsick has worked with over the years, is a track athlete and hurdler, mostly known for her participation in Summer Olympics. Her willingness to challenge herself and go between the running track and the bobsled – and be successful at both, is astonishing to say the least! After participating in the World Cup, the next lucky stop was the Winter Olympics. Think determination, solid ethics and good work, and here we are, happy to say a well-deserved ‘Congratulations!’ to Kaillie and Phylicia!
Here are two great stories regarding the journey to the bronze medal, one in National Post and the other on CBC.
