Cryo-Therapy implements components of the foundational practice of the RICE regimen (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) to treat acute and chronic injuries and assists in post-operative rehabilitation. The RICE regimen has been used for decades to treat acute and chronic injuries and assist in post-operative rehabilitation. Cryo-Therapy uses a combination of adjustable ice and intermittent compression by controlling air pressure and fluid flow through a wrap that is specially designed for use on almost all body parts such as ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, lower back, hands and elbows.
According to clinical studies, intermittent compression has been shown to be more effective than static compression. The intermittent compression acts as a pneumatic pump. It pumps in new blood into the injured area while simultaneously flushing out the inflammatory cells and reabsorbing excess fluid. This process reduces edema, which improves the oxygenation levels and helps to enhance healing. (1,2)
The cold therapy aspect of Cryo-Therapy reduces pain and muscle spasms. It can reduce tissue damage that usually takes place in injured tissue, as a result of secondary hypoxic injury, by slowing down the tissue’s metabolism and lowering the tissues’ need for oxygen. The cold therapy component of the Game Ready device can also be used for acute and chronic injuries, as well as post-surgically.
Our practitioners will design an individualized therapy schedule that may use cryo-therapy alone or in conjunction with physiotherapy sessions and/or shock wave therapy and underwater treadmill.
Squeezing more out of Cold Therapy
Head to head infrared thermal imagery shows that Game Ready’s patented active compression technology enhances the delivery of cold therapy, helping to provide faster, deeper, and longer-lasting cold than other cryo-therapy products.
Side view shown in the image. First skin temperature measurement immediately after completing 30 minutes of treatment, subsequent images at 10 and 30 minutes post-treatment. All devices applied per manufacturer’s instructions and all measurements taken from uniform distance. All devices applied on different days allowing full recovery for test subject.
Results that speak for themselves
HELPED THEM RETUN TO WORK OR DAILY ACTIVITIES SOONER – OVER 90%
HELPED REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PAIN MEDICATION THEY TOOK OR ENABLED THEM TO STOP TAKING MEDS SOONER – OVER 94%
PROVIDED A BETTER POST-RECOVERY THAN A PREVIOUS SURGERY USING A DIFFERENT COLD THERAPY – OVER 94%

Cryo-Therapy is so effective, it can be found in the most prestigious orthopedic centers, physical therapy clinics, and athletic training facilities. In fact, the treatment system is relied on by Olympic athletes, special military forces, and countless teams from virtually every professional sport around the world. Better still, people who have used Cryo-Therapy overwhelmingly say that it helped speed and improve their recovery.
